New Terra

One of the latest developments of 2024 is a collaboration with the sustainability center newterra.nl of SADC (Schiphol Airport Development Cooperation).  3 hectares along the Rijnlanderweg, with plans for a flower meadow, a greenhouse, a fruit garden and a hazel and walnut forest.

The Goal 

The promise for the future is to develop large areas of climate forest in the Schiphol Logistics Trade Park where there should be more greenery and more biodiversity.

There are ambitions to gradually expand this to more areas around Schiphol. Who knows, we might be able to create a large climate forest here in the coming years! We are now making a first step towards a climate forest, with a windbreak which can remove an estimated 500 to 1000 kilograms of CO2 from the air in the next 10 years. The variety of tree species, together with the berries, the vertical garden flower meadows, and  vegetable garden, benefit biodiversity enormously and also those who work at that location. A major upgrade of the vacant lot both for nature, the insects and the soil, and later for all the people who can enjoy everything that blooms and grows there during their lunch break.
