Organisations: working and learning together!

Discover an inspiring opportunity that blends interactive participation with valuable learning experiences for your organization, company, or school by joining us at Stichting MEERGroen for a day dedicated to working in nature.

Company days

Group size: 10-30 people usually (Contact us for more possibilities)

Duration: We recommend half a day, which is usually enough with outdoor and physical work.

What do you get : an educational day in nature, where you directly contribute to a local project, under the guidance of an ecologist.

Cost: During the consultation, please expect a fee of €30 per participant. If your organization faces financial constraints, we are open to discussing potential solutions together.

What to bring:

– Comfortable and waterproof clothing and shoes/boots that can get a little dirty. Depending on the weather: raincoat, cap and sunscreen.

– Filled bottle of water and a snack for the break.

– Bring your own work gloves if you have some.

Catering: Catering can be arranged at some locations, ask about the options.

Weather Conditions : In principle, we also continue working with rain showers. Dependending on how severe there are also opportunities to work indooors in a greenhouse between March and October.

Schools

Education is a fundamental part of Stichting MEERGroen.

While we primarily focus on adults, we warmly welcome children, who are often more curious and eager to learn. We offer excursions for classes where participants discover ecology and biodiversity while actively helping in the garden with flowers, insects, plants, and small trees. There is much to see and experience, and we ask for school guidance for these excursions.

Internships

Connecting theory to practice for practical insights.

At Stichting MEERGroen, we place great emphasis on the importance of internships. We enjoy working with young professionals (HBO and MBO) and high school students who have chosen a green direction. We make the connection between theory at school and work in practice. There is a big difference! With us you will learn to develop practical insight, work motivation and learn to apply theory in all possible ways: from arithmetic, physics, chemistry, topography, history and biology to ethics, marketing, management and politics. We are an officially recognized SBB internship company.

We are dedicated to partnering with organizations and companies to enhance biodiversity and foster healthy ecosystems, seeking long-term collaborations that span a minimum of one year to create meaningful and sustainable impact together.

The organization is dedicated to committing itself to the MEERGroen foundation as a whole or to a specific project for a minimum of one year.

What do you receive in return? This can be tailored through consultation, offering a variety of options. Ultimately, it allows you to engage directly with a local green initiative that enhances biodiversity. We are eager to involve employees in the process, enabling the opportunity for excursions or nature workdays with colleagues throughout the year where you can continuously learn and make a meaningful contribution.
